Lisa M. McIntyre

Lisa is a Staff Attorney with the Immigrant Children & Youth (ICY) program.  Prior to joining the team, Lisa was a Child Advocate Supervisor with The Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights in Houston where she advocated for the safety and well-being of immigrant children in the U.S. fleeing violence, trafficking, abuse and extreme poverty.  After having spent nearly 20 years in the commercial legal sector, Lisa transitioned to the non-profit world in year-end 2018 as a Staff Attorney with the Unaccompanied Minors Program at St. Frances Cabrini Center for Immigrant Legal Assistance (Catholic Charities) in Houston where she represented clients before the Executive Office for Immigration Review, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, and the Board of Immigration Appeals.

Lisa is a New York transplant who delights in calling Houston home.  She received her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and her undergraduate degree from Harvard University.  Lisa is currently seeking membership to the Texas bar and is admitted to practice in New York and Connecticut, including the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the U.S. District Court of Connecticut..
