Zurisaday Robbins Briz

Zurisaday Robbins Briz is the Legal Assistant and Outreach Coordinator for the Galveston Office. Prior to joining GHIRP she worked at the University of Texas Medical Branch as a Clinical Research Coordinator at the Center for Violence Prevention. Zurisaday was also a Prevention Specialist and Community Parent Educator with Family Service Center of Galveston County for seven years. She is also a certified Medical Translator by the University of Houston.

Zurisaday is a first generation native of Mexico living in Galveston since 1991. She has lived through and experienced the various transformations of the island and has cultivated extensive grassroots relationships within the faith based and non-profit network of Galveston County. She is a graduate of Ball High School and is currently completing her Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Science at the University of Houston Clear Lake where she hopes to continue to pursue her master’s degree on Cross Cultural and Global Studies. In her spare time, she enjoys learning, writing, music, cooking, art exhibits and is an avid world traveler.
