Holly Kuchera is a Senior Staff Attorney in our Galveston office. Prior to GHIRP, Holly was a supervising attorney at YMCA International Services in Houston. In her 5 years at the YMCA, Holly represented detained immigrants, survivors of trafficking and crime, unaccompanied minors, and coordinated pro se workshops with local law schools to serve newly arriving immigrants. Holly enjoys her work because it is such a meaningful way to provide support and stability to those in need. She is inspired by her brave and kind clients and coworkers. Before beginning her career in immigration legal services, Holly worked as a criminal defense attorney for 5 years and a high school English teacher for 4 years. Outside of work, Holly is active in her local church community and enjoys playing outside, knitting, and hanging out with her dog Mr. Bear.
