Rebecca Chavez

Rebecca is a Senior Staff Attorney with the Federal Litigation Program. Prior to joining the team, Rebecca was an associate attorney for a small immigration law firm, providing representation for clients in various aspects of immigration law, including: representation in removal proceedings, family-based petitions, naturalization, citizenship, waivers, consular processing, and other humanitarian relief.  Rebecca has represented clients before the Immigration Court, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the Department of State, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Rebecca received her J.D. with high honors from the University of Houston Law Center in 2018 and her B.B.A. from the University of Texas at Brownsville (now University of Texas Rio Grande Valley) in 2014. Rebecca is admitted to the Texas Bar, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
